Commencement

This week will be a short blog because of multiple commencement ceremonies.  I never thought about the meaning behind the term "commencement" until this weekend.  It is all about beginnings.

Over 200 recent graduates of Trinity University began their journey forward into the "real world" on Saturday.  Our family cheered on the many names we recognized from Lindsay's newly developed support system of life long friendships.  The beginning . . . they will face success, failure, love, heartbreak, and if they are fortunate they will learn from all of it.  The continuing education of life.

Next weekend we will watch as the Edmond Memorial High School graduates process across the stage to shake hands, and move their tassle.  Commencement is quite a concept.  We are humbled by all of these beginnings . . .

  3. Thanks Brandi- we are so proud. Took lots of pics but especially loved this shot of the four friends meeting at the "magic stones" on campus for the first time as alumni.
