Last month I toured the NPR studios in Washington, DC. One of my favorite experiences was spending time in "the egg." The egg is a sound proofing chair with WiFi and excellent speakers so you can choose your own sensory environment. I briefly listened to some excellent classical music. When I hatched out of the egg - I was shocked by sensory overload! The news feeds, conversations, phones, monitors, screens, hurt my ears. I wanted back in the egg!
